"You are not here for a meeting, folks, this is a session of the Yerevan city council," declared Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a tense situation at the council meeting.

At the start of the meeting, opposition factions presented several proposals, which Avinyan did not put to a vote. Furthermore, to approve the agenda and secure the necessary votes, he raised the question for voting twice, which angered the opposition factions and created a tense atmosphere.
