College Director Discusses the Murder of 18-Year-Old Student
During his studies, he did not stand out for bad behavior, was a good student, and earned the respect of both students and teachers. This was stated by Robert Abrahamyan, the director of Yerevan State College of Informatics, in an interview with NEWS.am, regarding the murder of 18-year-old student Raphael H., which occurred today, March 12, near the college.
“He was in his third year, studying computational systems and networks. This is shocking for me because it was a very incomprehensible, instantaneous event. We didn’t even have time to understand what happened. I am not aware of the details of the argument; according to our information, the incident did not involve college students. The event took place during a long break when all students go out to use the nearby food establishments. He also went out with everyone else. I can't say what happened during that time, how fast it transpired. Our information is based on what students and faculty members have recounted, who later provided assistance,” he said.
The college director added that many people enter and exit the food establishment frequently, and the incident occurred right next to it, with witnesses present. “But whether they had a participation or not, I cannot answer that question,” he noted.
It is worth recalling that earlier it was reported that today around 13:00, the police received information that a fight had occurred on Mamigonian Street near the Yerevan State College of Informatics, and there was a child who had been stabbed.
