Employee of Well-Known LLC in Armenia Arrested for Attempting to Distribute Large Quantities of Drugs

Today, operational information was received at the Police Patrol Service of Yerevan that a resident of Gegharkunik province had acquired drugs in Yerevan and was attempting to distribute them.

According to Shamshyan, it was established that the suspect was located on Andranik Street, where patrol officers Samvel Soghomonyan and Davit Asatryan discovered him. The suspect was arrested on charges of acquiring, possessing, using, and distributing drugs and was transferred to the Malatya police department.

During a personal search at the police station, a package was found in his possession wrapped in zip bags and tape containing solid chunks of brownish substances, weighing a total of 21.45 grams.

Under pressure from the evidence, the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Vardan P. from Gegharkunik province, admitted that the discovered items were drugs that he had taken from a location indicated by a user on the social media platform Telegram and that he was to later place them in locations specified by that user in exchange for money.

Documents have been prepared regarding the incident at the Malatya police department, and the suspect, Vardan P., has been presented to the Malatya investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, where a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.

According to sources, Vardan P. works for one of the well-known LLCs in Yerevan, and when the patrol officers noticed him, he attempted to flee, but unsuccessfully.
