Video: Zareh Sinanyan Insults Representatives of the Armenian Community in Zurich Over Artsakh Flag
Zareh Sinanyan's provocative and insulting behavior towards the Armenian community in Zurich (Switzerland) has sparked outrage among many community representatives. This was reported by Manuk Malkhasyan, a representative of the Zurich Armenian community, who also published a video of the incident.
“How can someone label a typical Diaspora Armenian (non-Armenian from Armenia) as ‘former’ and ‘rejected’? And this all because of the innocent flag of Artsakh. Below is a short excerpt from that meeting,” he wrote.
Community representatives recounted that the incident began after community member Karo Ohanyan entered the hall draped in the Artsakh flag. This caught Sinanyan's attention, who remarked that “it would have been better if you had come with the Armenian flag on your shoulders.”
The community representatives noted that Sinanyan exhibited rude behavior, insulting the community members by calling them ‘former’ and ‘rejected.’ “You are rejected by the people, while we are elected by the people, know that,” he stated.
Community representatives expressed their discontent with Sinanyan's conduct, claiming that he is dividing the Diaspora.
