In Kazakhstan, There Are a Putin, a Trump, and Eight Bidens
Citizens of Kazakhstan bear the names of foreign political figures, including a person named Putin, a Trump, and eight Bidens, according to ranking.kz.
“Political figures traditionally inspire parents when it comes to naming their children. In the republic, there is one person named Putin, one named Trump, and eight citizens named Biden, along with twelve individuals sharing the name of Kazakhstan's President, Kasym-Zhomart,” the report states.
Additionally, many people in Kazakhstan have names that coincide with the names of cities: 24 individuals are named Astana, 20 are named Almaty, and 27 bear the name Semey (formerly Semipalatinsk).
