Accident on Yerevan-Yeraskh Road: Toyota Hits Sheep Herd, 28 Ewes Killed

Today, on March 7, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 5:50 PM, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicle, traveling towards Yerevan on the 33 km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh road, struck a herd of sheep that was crossing the road in an unauthorized area in the administrative territory of Avshar village.

As a result of the collision, 28 sheep, most of which were ewes, died on the spot, and the vehicle continued about 182 meters before coming to a stop.
