Nothing Changes in the Treatment Process After the Introduction of Electronic Prescriptions
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia reports that nothing changes in the treatment process after the introduction of electronic prescriptions. Consultations with doctors in the primary health care sector remain free of charge. If a doctor prescribes tests and visits once a month or once every six months, this must be provided.
If there is a need for a specialist consultation, the specialist can issue a prescription valid for six months or provide a consultation sheet, indicating the medication that will be prescribed electronically by the local therapist each month.
The physician-patient relationship must be clearly defined, and any prescriptions, whether for tests or medication, must be issued accordingly.
Will it be possible to acquire medications prescribed electronically from online pharmacies? Purchases from online pharmacies will be conducted as they are currently done: personal data is provided, the prescription is verified in the system, the pharmacist activates the prescription, and issues the medication for delivery.
