Photos: The Bank-wide Football Tournament Dedicated to Vazgen Sargsyan's 65th Anniversary Has Started

On March 3, a ceremonial opening took place for the bank-wide football tournament dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Armenia's national hero Vazgen Sargsyan at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium. This was announced by Armenia's Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan on Facebook.

The event was attended by Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, Vazgen Sargsyan's brother Aram Sargsyan, Ararat region governor Sedrak Tevonyan, head of the Union of Volunteers Sasun Mikayelyan, president of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan, other high-ranking guests, and military personnel.

The anthem of the Republic of Armenia was performed by the military band, and excerpts from Vazgen Sargsyan's biography were presented. “I transferred a symbolic commemorative cup prepared with the portrait of Vazgen Sargsyan to Aram Sargsyan. Then, the match of the 23rd round of the Armenian Premier League between Ararat and BKMA commenced,” wrote the minister and shared photographs.
