Opponents of Armenian Boxers Revealed for Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Italy
The opponents of Armenian boxers have been announced for the upcoming Olympic qualifying tournament in Italy. The competition promises to be quite challenging, with boxers from 113 countries participating. To secure an Olympic spot, each fighter must win at least four matches to reach the semifinals in their respective weight categories.
In the opening matches, our athletes will face the following boxers:
- 50 kg Anush Grigoryan - Jung Ji Hoon (Korea)
- 54 kg Tatevik Khachatryan - Denise Bravo (Chile)
- 60 kg Elida Kocharyan - Solis Guadalupe (Mexico)
- 66 kg Ani Hovsepyan - Maria Hernández (Dominican Republic)
- 51 kg Rudolf Garboyan - Juan Teo Vi (Singapore) and Shafik Fatiha (Uganda) - winner of this pair
- 57 kg Arthur Bazeyan - Seyfeddin Letayif (Switzerland)
- 71 kg Gurgen Madoyan - Vasily Tsebottari (Moldova)
- 80 kg Rafael Hovhannisyan - Keven Beasejour (Canada)
- 92 kg Narek Manasyan - Andrey Zaplitni (Moldova) and Daniel Guzman (Dominican Republic) - winner of this pair
- +92 kg Davit Chaloyan - Alexis Barriere (Canada)
On March 3, the first day of the competitions, our boxers will not be fighting. On March 4, Arthur Bazeyan, Rafael Hovhannisyan, and Tatevik Khachatryan will step into the ring.
