As the President of the Armenian National Olympic Committee and as an Armenian, I am immensely proud of Arsen's brilliant victory. On his Facebook page, the President of the Armenian National Olympic Committee, Gagik Tsarukyan, wrote:

“Moments ago, our talented athlete Arsen Harutyunyan became a four-time champion of Europe in wrestling by defeating the representative of Turkey 10:0. The match lasted only 52 seconds. As the President of the Armenian National Olympic Committee and as an Armenian, I am immensely proud of Arsen's brilliant victory. Bravo, dear Arsen, for giving this joy of victory to the entire Armenian community. I have said it before and I will say it again: it is through victories like this that the broken back of the Armenian will be straightened, and it is in this way that we will compete with the world's superpowers and celebrate dignified victories.
