Photos: Rocks Fall into Pony Enclosure in Yerevan Zoo
On March 3, an extraordinary incident occurred at the Yerevan Zoo. According to Shamshyan, several rocks loosened by rainwater fell from a nearby cliff into the area where ponies are kept.
Fortunately, the animals were located several meters away at the time of the incident. Reports indicate that rescuers are unable to remove the rocks without specialized equipment.
Zoo security personnel emphasized that access to the area is strictly prohibited for the public, and there were over ten ponies in the vicinity of the rockfall, with their lives not in danger. The ponies have names, including "Zazo," "Zozo," "Zizi," "Gosha," and others.
