Massive Wall Collapses in Central Yerevan, Falling on Resident's Vehicle; Gas Leak Begun
On March 2, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 11:50 AM, the 911 crisis management center of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call reporting that a stone wall belonging to a resident at 5 Manuk Abeghyan Street had collapsed near the construction site of a new elite building. This was reported by Shamshyan.
It was revealed that fortunately, there were no casualties due to the collapse; however, a wall measuring about 50 meters in length and 7 meters in height fell onto the Nissan vehicle belonging to the resident, also breaking a gas pipeline, which resulted in a gas leak.
The website notes that it is a fortunate coincidence that just minutes before the collapse, construction workers were conducting work in the area and had stepped out of the construction site for a break, right before the incident occurred.
