Yerevan Municipality to Provide Temporary Housing for Two Families Living on Lvovyan Street

The press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Haik Kostanyan, stated on his Facebook page: "Due to various emotional opinions circulating regarding the demolition of seized areas on Lvovyan Street in the Nor Nork administrative district, and concerns about leaving people on the street, I want to inform you that two families are actually residing in that area, and the Yerevan municipality will provide them with temporary housing."

It is worth reminding that by the mayor's decision, the illegally constructed residential buildings located between Tatul Krpeyan Park and the Valencia complex at the beginning of Gayi Street will be demolished. Residents oppose the mayor's decision and are attempting to prevent the demolition works. They claim that they have not received any notifications and have been given merely 2 days to leave their homes. A large number of police officers have now been brought to the area to maintain public order.
