Ten-Day Grace Period Before Suspension of Licenses for Gambling Organizers

The government approved amendments to the laws on lotteries and gambling during its session today. The aim of these amendments is to provide an additional grace period to those licensed individuals engaged in gambling and casino operations who have overdue tax obligations monitored by the tax authorities.

According to the current law, if these overdue obligations arise, including penalties and fines, the license can be suspended. The issue is that fulfilling these requirements can sometimes necessitate additional time for existing businesses. The draft law proposes granting them an additional period of 10 days before the license is suspended, aiming to avoid hindering the normal course of business operations.
