Six Cars Collide in Central Yerevan, Injuries Reported
On February 29, at 00:39, the National Crisis Management Center received an alert regarding a traffic accident near building 25 on Tumanyan Street in Yerevan. Several cars were involved in the accident, and smoke was observed, necessitating the assistance of rescuers. This information was provided by the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that vehicles involved in the collision included an “Infiniti” (driver: A. A.), a “Nissan” (driver: T. V.), and a “Hyundai” (driver: S. G.), which subsequently collided with parked vehicles: a “Kia” (driver: G. H.), another “Nissan” (driver: V. M.), and a “Dodge” (driver: V. M.). Signs of fire were not found at the scene.
Before rescuers arrived, a passenger from the “Nissan,” identified as A. M., was hospitalized at a medical center, where doctors assessed the patient's health condition as stable. Rescuers extricated the driver of the “Nissan” from the vehicle and brought him closer to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized, and his health condition was similarly assessed as stable. Rescuers cut off the electricity for the “Nissan,” “Hyundai,” and “Infiniti” vehicles and closed the gas cylinder valves.
