Murder in the Center of Yerevan: Suspect is the Murdered Man's Son

On February 22, a murder occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:50 PM, operational reports were received by the police department of Yerevan and the Central Police Division regarding a man's body found in the yard of a building at 9 Parpetsi Street. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

Police discovered the body of 57-year-old Arman G., a resident of Yerevan, in the yard of the specified building, while the emergency medical team that arrived at the scene confirmed his death.

While investigators were examining the scene, officers from the criminal investigation division and the Central Police Division apprehended the alleged suspect while still hot on the trail. According to sources, it turned out that the deceased had been engaged in a physical altercation under the influence of alcohol with a friend, 33-year-old Avetik M., in front of 11a Ghazar Parpetsi Street. This was witnessed by Arman G.'s son, 24-year-old Erik G., who struck Avetik M. several times.

He also hit his father, Arman G., who soon walked towards the vicinity of 9 Parpetsi Street and died in the yard. Police and patrol officers, upon arriving at the scene, noticed a young man fleeing but managed to apprehend him during the chase. It was revealed that he was the son of the deceased.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of the Central and Norq Marash administrative districts on charges of murder. The investigator ordered a forensic examination of the body.
