«Reports of Building Construction in the Area are False» – Armen Galjyan

Armen Galjyan, leader of the Civil Contract faction in the Yerevan City Council, posted: «For years we have complained and continue to complain about the lack of parks and forests in the city of Yerevan. One of the reasons for this is that many have illegally seized community lands by constructing various buildings there. Now, as efforts are underway to restore the forest in the Nor Nork administrative district, some of those same complainers, for political reasons, are trying to obstruct this process.

A member of the Yerevan City Council should primarily engage in the task of returning city-owned lands back to the city, meaning to the entire population, rather than encouraging land seizures. In this situation, in fact, only one family resides in the area in question, and the Yerevan Municipality is ready to resolve their housing issue.

The area depicted in the image shows where demolition work is currently underway, with green spaces being cleared of illegal structures and rusty fences, and the reports of building construction in this area are simply false.»
