“The Demarcation and Border Delimitation Process Will Take a Lot of Time” - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister
The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, has provided details on the work of the demarcation and border security commissions with Azerbaijan. He reminded that the working procedures have been discussed and approved: "At this stage, we are discussing the regulations for joint activities, which will contain a more methodological description. Once we complete this work, both countries will introduce the draft document for domestic circulation."
According to Grigoryan, this document will most likely circulate as a draft law: "If we remain within the framework of our fundamental positions, and our work on drafting the document aligns with the Alma-Ata Declaration, I believe we will be able to have a draft of the regulations, containing the methodology of work, within 2-3 months. After confirming the methodology, undoubtedly, the actual process of demarcation and delimitation will take a lot of time, but nonetheless, it will be clear to all of us what we are engaged in."
