What is the Situation on Armenia's Roads After the Drop in Temperatures?

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. Until March 5, due to road renovation works, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi section of the M-6 highway will be closed for buses and cargo vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers near kilometers 38-40. An alternate route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.

The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake from the high-altitude weather station 'Amberd' in Aragatsotn Province are closed.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Federation's Emergency Ministry Crisis Management Center in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
