Video: ‘Serzh Sargsyan Was Removed from Office for Lying,’ Says Alen Simonyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, expressed that he was 'somewhat angry and surprised' by the speech of a representative from the opposition 'Armenia' faction. 'Your positions are very different from each other. I advise you to have an internal discussion to understand what position the 'Armenia' faction holds regarding the stance expressed by Aregnaz Manukyan, because I am not sure that all positions coincide,' Simonyan said.

Addressing Hayk Mamijanyan's speeches, which according to Simonyan relate to truth and belief, he referred to the memories of 'Armenicum' and Serzh Sargsyan's statement, 'I will never aspire to the position of the country's leader,' among others. 'At least talk about that, because Serzh Sargsyan was removed from office, one could say, because of lying. There were many reasons, but that was one of them,' Alen Simonyan stated.
