Azerbaijan's Latest Disinformation Campaign: Gohar Tsarukyan on Rumors of Intelligence Data Exchange with France
Information circulated through the French-language Agoravox blogging platform alleging that during the Armenian Prime Minister's visit to Paris, an agreement was reached with the French side to exchange intelligence data, does not correspond to reality. This was clarified in a conversation with Armenpress by Gohar Tsarukyan, the director of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Prime Minister's Office of Armenia.
“Individuals can freely register and publish their drafted news articles and reports on the mentioned source, which are not subject to any editing, and therefore the source cannot be considered reliable. Specifically, the mentioned material was published under the name of an unknown author, ‘S. Lampion,’ and then it was immediately disseminated on Azerbaijani pages of X. It is evident from this that we are dealing with a disinformation campaign directed against Armenia,” Tsarukyan emphasized.
