All Actions Related to Russian Assets Abroad Will Receive Symmetrical Responses: Siluanov

Russia has frozen no fewer western assets than those frozen from its own, said Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. According to him, any actions related to Russian assets abroad will receive a symmetrical response.

"This is not a question for us; we monitor the decisions of western countries. We have no fewer frozen assets. Any actions related to our assets will receive a symmetrical response," the minister stated in an interview with RIA Novosti when asked about the fate of the Russian Federation's frozen gold and currency reserves abroad.

It is worth reminding that on February 1, the European Council approved the European Commission's proposal to use the income generated from frozen Russian assets to fund aid to Ukraine.
