Netanyahu Will Endanger Hostages' Lives If It Serves His Image, Says Former Israel Prime Minister
Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of Israel, has criticized current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Army Radio, stating that Netanyahu is willing to endanger the lives of hostages held in Gaza since October 7 if it serves his image, as reported by the Times of Israel.
“For Netanyahu, appearing strong is more important than making a deal. He is ready to risk the lives of the hostages,” Barak said.
He also called for protests against the government following clashes between protesters and police during a demonstration against Netanyahu in Tel Aviv last night.
“We need 30,000 citizens to surround the Knesset with tents for three weeks, day and night. When the country is locked down, Netanyahu will understand that his time is over, and no one trusts him,” he added.
