Ursula von der Leyen Arrives in Kyiv
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kyiv. “I am in Kyiv now, more than ever, we are firmly supporting Kyiv: financially, economically, militarily, morally,” she wrote on social media, accompanied by a photo from the site.
However, von der Leyen did not specify which representatives of Ukrainian leadership she would be meeting with or what the agenda of the negotiations would be.
Additionally, Western media reported that on Saturday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo also arrived in Kyiv by train from Poland.
Meloni is expected to later hold a video conference with G7 leaders, to which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also been invited.
