Russia's Foreign Ministry Responds to EU Sanctions Package 13

The Russian Foreign Ministry has deemed the European Union's sanctions package 13, adopted on February 23, illegal. In response to the new restrictions, the ministry has expanded its list of European citizens banned from entering Russia.

The statement indicates that, in retaliation for the EU sanctions, Russia will prohibit entry to representatives of law enforcement agencies from EU countries who are involved in the 'persecution' of Russian officials, advocate for the seizure of Russian assets, support the sanctions, and attempt to 'disrupt Russia's relations with other states.'

It is important to note that earlier reports indicated that the new package 13 of EU sanctions against Russia includes 194 individuals and entities, bringing the total number of sanctioned persons to over 2,000.
