HAPC Comments on Nikol Pashinyan's Statement Regarding Suspension of Membership
The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has stated that it has not received any application from Yerevan regarding the suspension of membership. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's idea likely refers to Armenia's non-participation in several recent events organized by the organization. This was informed to RIA Novosti by the CSTO Secretariat.
"At this time, the CSTO Secretariat has not received any application from Yerevan regarding the suspension of CSTO membership. As for the thesis about the freezing of participation, it likely pertains to Armenia's non-participation in several recent events organized by the organization," the CSTO Secretariat informed RIA Novosti.
It should be recalled that earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in an interview with France 24 that Yerevan has suspended its participation in the CSTO.
