EU Officially Approves 13th Sanctions Package Against Russia

The Council of the European Union has officially approved the 13th sanctions package against Russia today. This package targets 106 individuals and 88 legal entities, bringing the total number of sanctioned individuals to over two thousand.

The EU Council emphasized that the new sanctions package aims to limit the access of the Russian Federation to components for unmanned aerial vehicles. Additionally, the EU has also imposed sanctions on companies from China, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, and Turkey for assisting in the circumvention of sanctions against Russia.

Export restrictions have been introduced against 27 companies and organizations supplying components to the Russian military-industrial complex. These sanctions will come into effect following their publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
