Attempt to Smuggle Large Batch of Gold Ingots from Armenia to Georgia Foiled

Employees of the Bavra customs post and the anti-smuggling department of the Shirak regional division of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, acting on information received from the National Security Service of Armenia, have uncovered a case of illegal transportation of a large batch of undeclared gold ingots through the Bavra state border crossing.
Specifically, during the inspection of a vehicle traveling from Armenia to Georgia, it was revealed that the cabin of the vehicle contained gold ingots weighing a total of 2215 grams, preliminarily estimated to be worth around 58 million drams.
