Number of Complaints Received by the Human Rights Defender's Office During the 2023 Winter Draft

The Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia has received 72 complaints during the 2023 winter draft. This information was reported by the Human Rights Defender's office.

It is noted that 21 of the complaints regarding the health status of conscripts have become urgent discussion points in the defender's office through a written procedure. In connection with 15 complaints, rapid responses were delivered, and the office assisted in resolving the issues of 36 citizens through consultations.

The complaints largely pertained to medical examinations and expert assessments, the issuance of referrals for health issues, appeals against decisions by medical commissions, deferments based on family circumstances, the provision of documents reflecting health conditions, and other related matters.
