It should be noted that the Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint political initiative aimed at deepening and strengthening relations between the European Union (EU), its member states, and six eastern neighbors: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
The Eastern Partnership index measures the progress of these six countries towards sustainable democratic development and European integration. The index evaluates the steps taken towards good governance, including the level of respect and protection for democracy and human rights, sustainable development, and integration with the European Union.
This tool aims to highlight areas where reforms are progressing or lagging, as well as to develop recommendations that will guide countries in their reform processes. The index can also help uncover areas where there are concerns that progress may slow down or even reverse.
