Azerbaijani Detained in Moscow: Could Be Extradited to Armenia
An Azerbaijani fitness coach, Kamil Zeynalov, has been detained at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. This information is reported by Azerbaijani media, including eadaily.com.
Zeynalov stated that the police informed him he was detained at the request of Armenia and could be extradited to Armenia.
According to reports, during the 44-day war, he allegedly cut the throat of an elderly Armenian man while shouting 'Allahu Akbar.' The website reports that Zeynalov posted a video on Instagram, recounting how, on his way back to Baku, he was taken into custody by the police at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.
'They said that Armenia has issued an international warrant for my arrest,' the Azerbaijani said, adding that he would appear in court tomorrow. He indicated that he had been wanted since May of last year. Zeynalov has requested support from his country's governmental institutions.
