The results of the first phase of the unified entrance examinations for higher education institutions for the 2024-2025 academic year have been summarized, as reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.

A total of 9,672 candidates were initially registered for the first phase of the unified examinations, with some candidates registering for one test and others for two. From January 20 to February 4, candidates took examinations in 12 subjects over six testing days. The number of candidates who took the exams was 9,604.

The examination process was organized across 43 testing centers, with 14 in Yerevan and 29 in the regions.

Candidates took unified examinations in the subjects of Armenian Language and Literature, Chemistry, Geography, Foreign Languages, Physics, Armenian History, Mathematics, Biology, and Russian Language.

According to the results of the first phase of the unified examination, 3,240 candidates registered for the Armenian Language and Literature exam, with 3,211 participating. The average score was 11.09. A total of 589 candidates (18.3% of participants) did not meet the minimum passing score, while 183 candidates (5.7%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the Chemistry exam, 1,045 candidates registered and 1,034 participated, with an average score of 10.46. The minimum passing score was not met by 345 candidates (33.4% of participants), and 121 candidates (11.7%) scored between 18 and 20.

For the Geography exam, all 56 registered candidates participated, achieving an average score of 11. The minimum passing score was not met by 10 candidates (17.9% of participants), with only 1 candidate (1.8%) scoring between 18 and 20.

In the English exam, 5,045 candidates registered, with 4,983 participating. The average score was 12.85, and 842 candidates (16.9% of participants) did not meet the minimum passing score, while 872 candidates (17.5%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the German exam, 30 candidates registered and all participated, with an average score of 13.84. The minimum passing score was not met by 4 candidates (13.3%), and 2 candidates (6.7%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the French exam, 32 candidates registered, and 31 participated, achieving an average score of 12.19. The minimum passing score was not met by 5 candidates (16.1%), with 4 candidates (12.9%) scoring between 18 and 20.

In the Spanish exam, 1 candidate registered and participated, achieving a score of 16.75.

For the Physics exam, 827 candidates registered, with 818 participating. The average score was 10.64, and 245 candidates (30% of participants) did not meet the minimum passing score, while 79 candidates (9.7%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the Armenian History exam, 1,086 candidates registered, with 1,059 participating. The average score was 11.51, and 263 candidates (24.8%) did not meet the minimum passing score, while 147 candidates (13.9%) scored between 18 and 20.

For the Mathematics exam, 4,198 candidates registered and 4,100 participated, with an average score of 10.51. The minimum passing score was not met by 1,023 candidates (24.95%), while 269 candidates (6.6%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the Biology exam, 1,222 candidates registered, with 1,191 participating. The average score was 12.09, and 283 candidates (23.8%) did not meet the minimum passing score, while 217 candidates (18.2%) scored between 18 and 20.

In the Russian Language exam, 141 candidates registered and all participated, achieving an average score of 10.29. The minimum passing score was not met by 38 candidates (26.95%), while 3 candidates (2.1%) scored between 18 and 20.
