Fathers and Sons Steal in Tavush, Causing Over 1 Million Dram in Damage

On February 15, an employee of the South Caucasus Railway reported that between January 25 and February 15 at 1 PM, various types of 502 railway parts were stolen from the railway tracks in the village of Khashtarak in the Tavush region, causing approximately 1 million 185 thousand dram in material damage. This act also posed a threat to railway traffic.

Officers from the Ijevan division of the police, acting on information received from the Tavush regional department and conducting operational investigative measures, summoned two men, aged 55 and 48, suspected of the theft, along with their 30-year-old sons. All four were arrested and presented with the compiled documents to the Tavush regional investigative department before being transferred to a detention facility.

The Ijevan police received operational information indicating that part of the stolen goods was located on the property of the 55-year-old man. A criminal case has been initiated.
