Video: How a Ukrainian Agent Attempted to Plant a Bomb Under a Car in Zaporizhia

Russian security forces have neutralized a Ukrainian agent who was planning a terrorist act with explosives against a politician in the Zaporizhia region ahead of the elections. This was reported by the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia.

“The Federal Security Service has identified and prevented the activities of Russian citizen Vitaly Dyatlenko. The individual recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine was preparing to carry out a terrorist act against one of the political figures in the Zaporizhia region on the eve of the 2024 electoral phase,” the statement said.

According to the FSB, personnel from the Ukrainian Security Service armed him with explosives and coordinated his plans. At the time of his arrest, Dyatlenko resisted law enforcement officers and was neutralized with counteractions.

A video has also been released showing how the agent attempted to place a bomb under a car under the pretense of being a person with a disability.
