Police Reports Recent Thefts from Bicycles and Vehicles
The Criminal Investigators of the Malatya Division of the National Police received operational information that three young individuals were committing thefts from parked vehicles in different administrative districts of Yerevan. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Acting on the operational information, investigators and patrol officers from the 1st company of the 2nd battalion detained the suspects on February 18 at 3:20 AM, on Mikaelyan Street, on suspicion of theft from a parked 'Ford' vehicle. They were subsequently transferred to the Malatya division.
A personal search revealed stolen items from the 'Ford,' including a screwdriver, perfume, a special lock knife measuring a total of 21 cm, coins, among other items.
As a result of the investigative work by the investigators, a 34-year-old man disclosed that he had stolen 11 bicycles and side mirrors from an 'Opel' car from various neighborhoods in the Malatya-Sebastia administrative district.
Documents have been prepared and submitted to the investigative body. An investigation is underway.
