Photographs: Car Fully Submerged Under Ice, One Fisherman Not Rescued in Russia
In the Khabarovsk region, near the Khokhlatskaya channel, a car with two fishermen has gone under the ice. This was reported by the press service of the region's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Rescuers in the Khabarovsk region spent two days searching for the vehicle that had plunged into the ice. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations inspected the area of the Pchelinaya and Khokhlatskaya canals using snowmobiles, and they successfully located the car in a sand pit.
The vehicle is completely submerged underwater. One fisherman was found in the cabin of the car but could not be rescued, while the search for the second man continues, with divers exploring the bottom of the quarry.
Earlier, two all-terrain vehicles had fallen into cracks in Lake Baikal and become frozen in the ice.
