Two Women Trapped in Rubble, One's Voice Heard: Details from the Nor Arenj Explosion

New details have emerged regarding the explosion that occurred on 34 Street in Nor Arenj, Yerevan. According to a reporter from NEWS.am at the scene, preliminary information suggests that the cause of the explosion was a gas leak.

It is reported that two individuals, both women, are trapped under the rubble, with the voice of one of them being audible. Other family members were not at home at the time of the incident.

Additionally, a neighboring house has partially collapsed, and nearly all surrounding houses have been damaged, with windows shattered. Some of these homes contain newborns, all of whom are being evacuated.

The police have cordoned off the area, preventing residents from entering or exiting. Rescue teams have brought in dogs to help locate those trapped beneath the rubble.
