Food Poisoning in Nubarashen: 13 Hospitalized, Including 6 Children

Today, February 18, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. Between 20:20 and 20:40, the duty teams of the Yerevan 1-03 ambulance service transported a large number of citizens to the Muratsan Children's Hospital and Armenia Medical Center. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

It was noted that these individuals were transported from the Nubarashen administrative district, including 6 children aged 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, and 14, who were taken to the Muratsan Medical Center. The condition of some of them is assessed as moderate, while one is in serious condition. Additionally, 7 adults were transported to the Armenia Medical Center.

It was found that the mentioned individuals came from one of the houses on 5th Street, where they had been participating in a festive gathering in the living room, which also featured a wooden stove. According to preliminary information, it is possible that these individuals suffered from food poisoning. Staff from Gazprom Armenia’s Yerevan Gas Distribution Company also arrived promptly; however, neighbors, who refused to speak on camera, stated that the room from which everyone was transported to hospitals did not have a gas stove but was heated by a wooden stove, suggesting that the poisoning may have been caused by carbon monoxide from the stove or food contamination.
