Video: Theft of Gold Jewelry from Mother-in-Law’s House Orchestrated by Bride – Details of the Incident

On January 22, a 62-year-old resident of Vilnius Street in the capital reported to the police’s operational management center that between 6 PM and 11 PM the previous evening, money and gold jewelry had been stolen from her apartment.

The report was forwarded to the Nor Nork Police Department, where an operational group was dispatched to the scene. A criminal case was initiated in the investigation department of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts for characteristics of residential burglary. An examination was conducted in the apartment and possible entry points. The door had been opened with a modified key, the lock was not damaged, and the household items were not particularly disturbed.

The magnitude of the theft was substantial, amounting to 310,000 AMD, 8,000 USD, and nearly 10,000 USD worth of gold jewelry.

By correlating data obtained during the examination and receiving operational credible information, Nor Nork criminal investigation officers uncovered the mechanism of the crime after extensive work over several days. According to preliminary data, the 28-year-old wife of the 62-year-old homeowner colluded with a 25-year-old resident of the same street and handed him a key to the house. He, in turn, had given the key to a 45-year-old man, also a resident of the same street, who illegally entered the apartment with a peer from Sari Tagh and carried out the theft.

On the same day, the two 45-year-old men met with the 25-year-old who had given them the key and, as their share of the stolen goods, handed him 1,000 USD.

As a result of operative-search activities undertaken by the criminal investigation officers, the 25-year-old man was located and arrested near noon on January 25 and was taken to the police station. The following day, the two 45-year-old men from Vilnius Street and Sari Tagh were also arrested. All three have been presented to the pretrial body.

The bride has been charged with organizing the crime. A travel ban has been imposed on her as a measure of restraint. Part of the stolen items has been recovered, and measures are being taken to discover the remaining items and clarify other circumstances of the incident.
