VIDEO: Exclusive Footage of Fishermen Assaulting Rangers at Lake Sevan

Daniel Ioannisyan, the head of the 'Informed Citizens' organization, has released new footage capturing the incident where fishermen assaulted rangers at Lake Sevan and made a comment regarding the event.

“Exclusive footage from the battlefield of Lake Sevan. Do you know why fishermen are not paying for fishing licenses at Lake Sevan? (Today, Nikol Pashinyan asked Hakob Simidian this question). Because out of the individuals who attacked the national park’s boat and assaulted the employees, only one is currently in custody. Why should they pay when they can resolve their issues by beating the enforcers? In Armenia, law enforcement agencies are merely a large decoration that is incapable of protecting the law,” Ioannisyan stated in his post.

It should be reminded that earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that in Gegharkunik, fishermen committed mass hooliganism and used violence against officials performing their duties; 26 individuals have been arrested.
