Reactions from High-Ranking Officials on Navalny's Death Statement

A number of high-ranking officials from various countries have reacted to the statement regarding Alexei Navalny's death. Journalist Leonid Parfyonov stated, “This is a political assassination.”

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs also responded to the politician’s killing, saying, “Whatever you think about Alexei Navalny as a political figure, he was brutally murdered by the Kremlin. That is a fact, and it says a lot about the current regime's real nature in Russia. I sympathize with his family and friends.”

European Council President Charles Michel stated that “the EU holds the Russian authorities responsible for Navalny's death.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy remarked, “It is clear that he was killed by Putin.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declared, “Navalny paid with his life for the courage to return to Russia.”

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated, “This is terrible news. As a passionate defender of Russian democracy, Alexei Navalny has shown incredible courage throughout his life.”

NATO Secretary General emphasized that “if all the facts related to Navalny's death are confirmed, Russia must be held accountable.”
