Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia's rapid response division conducted an inspection at a public catering facility owned by individual entrepreneur Marina Hovhannisyan, located at the Barekamutyun metro underground passage in Yerevan, based on a citizen's complaint.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the facility operated with gross violations of sanitary and hygienic norms. Specifically, the following issues were noted:
- The walls of the food structure were not made of waterproof, non-absorbent, washable materials.
- There was an insufficient number of conveniently located washbasins equipped for handwashing with hot and cold water, along with necessary handwashing and disinfecting agents, and hygienic drying devices.
- There was no changing room for the staff.
The production activities of the public catering facility have been suspended, with a deadline set for addressing the identified violations.
