Video: Wreckage of MI-8 Rescue Helicopter and Crew Bodies Found Days After Crash
The wreckage of the rescue helicopter has been retrieved from the depths of Lake Onega. This information is reported by Russian media.
The MI-8 helicopter crashed in Karelia during a training flight one week ago. At the time of the incident, there were three people on board. It is now believed that the bodies of all crew members have been located.
After several unsuccessful attempts, the helicopter was brought to the surface from a depth of about 50 meters.
Earlier reports indicated that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations had lost contact with the MI-8 helicopter while it was flying over Lake Onega, with a three-member crew onboard. Search and rescue operations were organized.
