VIDEO: Balloon Crash in Georgia Claims Lives of Two ‘Imedi’ TV Pilots and Operator
A balloon crash in Georgia has resulted in the deaths of two pilots and an operator from ‘Imedi’ TV. This tragic event was reported by Sputnik Gruzia.
One of the pilots, Revaz Uturgauri, was the president of the National Aviation Federation and the founder of Sky Travel. Prior to the flight, Uturgauri shared on social media, “We are flying throughout Georgia, from the Black Sea to the border with Azerbaijan. The distance is not very long—about 400 kilometers. But the flight is challenging as it mainly passes over mountainous terrain.”
According to the media, the balloon collided with a power line. The incident occurred about 15 kilometers southwest of Tbilisi, in the village of Asureti, located in the Kvemo Kartli region. It is known that the balloon was scheduled to perform a flight from the port city of Poti to the Kakheti region, heading towards the Azerbaijan border.
