A strong explosion occurred near Izhevsk due to "routine technical work" at the Votkinsk factory, as reported by Russian media citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to unconfirmed reports, the explosion happened during certain tests. On the evening of February 7, a powerful blast was heard at the Votkinsk factory's testing range in the village of Yagul, located 12 kilometers away from Izhevsk. As reported by TASS, the Unified Duty Dispatcher Service of the Udmurtia's Zavyalovsky district indicated that the incident was linked to "planned testing of rocket engines."
