Peskov on Russia-US Negotiations
Julya
The US authorities are well aware of all the main messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin, but there is still no desire or political will on their part to negotiate. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, in an interview with TASS.
“The US authorities are fully aware of our position; they are aware of all of Putin's main messages,” said the Kremlin spokesperson in response to a question about whether Putin's interview with journalist Tucker Carlson would help convey Moscow's viewpoint to Washington.
Peskov emphasized that the US needs to have the desire to move towards negotiations. “Such desire and political will are, for now, not being recorded,” he stated.
