Video: Italian Farmers Gather with Over 100 Tractors Near Rome
Italian farmers have gathered with over 100 tractors as part of a protest in one of the parking lots near Rome, where they have also set up tents. This was reported by a correspondent from RIA Novosti.
According to police, about 130 tractors have arrived mainly from Tuscany, northern regions of the Lazio metropolitan area, and the Umbrian mountains. RIA Novosti reports that the farmers are waiting for permission from the authorities in Rome to organize a demonstration in one of the city's squares, which will be attended by about 10 agricultural machines and 1,500 people.
It is noteworthy that the ultimate goal of the protesting farmers is to meet with the government. They are demanding restrictions on the import of agricultural products, tax reductions, and the introduction of fuel subsidies.
