I Bow Before the Working and Tax-Paying Citizen, Says Pashinyan
The number one hero of the Republic of Armenia is the working and tax-paying citizen. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
According to him, it is thanks to the taxes paid that schools are built and operational, kindergartens are constructed, roads and water lines are established. “Thanks to the taxes he pays, all teachers, all soldiers, officers, generals, and all diplomats receive salaries. Thanks to his taxes, historical and cultural monuments are preserved and restored. It is through his taxes that military equipment and technology are acquired, and engineering work is conducted at the borders. His taxes ensure that the soldier is fed and clothed. His taxes provide pensions to retirees, assistance to beneficiaries, and healthcare services to hundreds of thousands of people, the expenses for which are covered by the state budget, enabling health facilities such as medical centers, polyclinics, and ambulatory clinics to operate.
In 2023, the working and tax-paying citizen has worked and contributed 2 trillion 222 billion drams in taxes and duties to the state budget, which is 1 trillion 64 billion drams (approximately 2.6 billion dollars) or 92 percent more than in 2017. I bow before the working and tax-paying citizen. His heroism is often not recognized even by many, including himself. The government sees it. I see it myself. Thank you,” reads the Prime Minister's post.
