Another Russian Billionaire Renounces Citizenship

Wealthy businessman Vasily Anisimov has become the seventh billionaire to renounce his Russian citizenship since the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. Anisimov holds citizenship in Croatia, where he has invested $11 million in the economy.

Since the onset of the war in Ukraine, a group of Russian billionaires have given up their Russian passports. Among them are former banker Oleg Tinkov, Revolut payment service founder Nikolai Storonsky, and Ruben Vardanyan, who is currently in an Azerbaijani prison.
