The UN Security Council has found itself in a deadlock due to geopolitical disagreements. This was announced by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as reported by РИА Новости.
“The UN Security Council, as the main platform for resolving global issues, has found itself in a deadlock due to geopolitical disagreements,” Guterres stated.
According to the UN Secretary-General, during the Cold War it was possible to regulate the relationship between superpowers through established effective mechanisms, but the situation is different now.
“In today’s multipolar world, such mechanisms no longer exist; the world has entered an era of chaos,” Guterres remarked.
